We left our villa in Montefalco and headed out to the town of Deruta, which is known for its Ceramics. We stopped at the Ceramiche Gialletti Giulio shop and factory for a ceramics making demonstration. We were able to see the different steps in the process - from wheel work to hand-painting. After the demonstration, there was plenty of time to shop for goodies. I purchased an olive oil bottle and some cabinet pulls. They were wrapped very securely at the store, and stored under the bus until our final stop.

What goes better with ceramics than wine? Well, really, what doesn't go with wine? Our next stop of the day was Tenuta Le Velette Winery. We were welcomed by vineyard owner Cecilia before getting a tour of the house and the wine cellar. Part of the cellar dates back to the time of the Etruscans. After our tour, we enjoyed our wine experience where we had several food and wine pairings. I picked up a few bottles of wine to take back home. After our visit, we headed off to our final stop of the night, Orvieto.
